Interested in Helping & Volunteering

Bedford Town FC - Youth Development  is run entirely on a voluntary basis.

We are always looking for more people to help us. Even if you can only give an hour every here and there, all help is gratefully appreciated and we realise how precious time can be so we won’t pressure you into taking on more than you can manage.

All volunteers working with children must be prepared to be CRB checked which will be paid for by us.

There are many roles available on and off the pitch and here are just a few of the jobs that you can do:

  • Putting up and taking down nets

  • Running the lines for matches

  • Writing press releases and reports for your child’s team for local press and the Club website

  • Organising social events

  • Selling raffle tickets

  • Coaching, or helping coaches at training sessions

  • First aiders

  • Fundraising

  • Making refreshments

What’s in it for you?

Help is a great way to make new friendships and get to know people who contribute to the Club’s development – and you can also be that person, you don’t always necessarily need to know anything about football either!

Would like a more active role with the club?

Here are positions we're looking to fill to help our youth teams;

  • Head Coach - Requires a 2-3 hour a week commitment.

  • Assistant Coach - Requires a 1-2 hours a week commitment.

  • Referee - We can book you for matches based on your schedule.

  • Linesman - We can book you for matches based on your schedule.

  • Treasurer -  Requires 2-3 hours a week commmitment
